About Linlithgow String Orchestra

It all started with a Facebook Post…
Linlithgow String Orchestra (LSO) was formed in May 2016 by a group of local amateur musicians keen to establish a community orchestra for the Linlithgow area. LSO is affiliated to Making Music, a UK-based charity which represents and supports amateur vocal and instrumental music and promoting services throughout the United Kingdom.
We are a friendly and enthusiastic amateur orchestra and are always interested in potential collaborations with other musical groups. In March 2023, the orchestra performed ‘Zadok The Priest’ as part of a massed group of musicians and choristers from other Linlithgow based music groups. Each year in December, the orchestra accompanies the Church Choir at St. Michael's Parish Church in their Lessons & Carols Service.
